Anecdote* | Bev (Frielink) Camp did not know her Grandpa Frielink, because he and Selma were separated before Bev was born. After the separation, his children had nothing to do with him. He had held several prominent positions, but lost them all due to gambling, carousing, etc. Bev's dad was dead-set against gambling because he said his father lost everything several times over by gambling. Victor's children had very little good things to say about their father; all their sympathy was with their mother, Selma. Bev said, "although in later years my mom and Aunt Betty and Aunt Joan would make little comments how mean and spiteful Grandma Selma could be!. My sister Lenore always said how mean Grandma Selma was to her, but I was one of Selma's favorites so I never saw or picked up on the 'bad vibes." Regarding Victor and Vincent Frielink: all I know is that they were twins - I'll ask my mom if she remembers anything Dad might have said about them, but I'm not optimistic about any answers... she's getting so forgetful (in fact, in May 2006 she moved into a little apartment that Lenore has in her home because of her forgetfulness).

Now i want to ask you, where did you find this information about Joseph and do you maybe have more information about him? I know Joseph had several brothers e.g. Albert, who emigrated first to the USA in 1913 an Joseph followed him in 1924. What about his daughter Marion? Are there any children or other relatives, I can ask? It would be very very great, if you can give me some information, I'm thankfull for every little hint!" Best regards, Julia Johnen
