(Witness) Anecdote | Esther Bilyea; "Thank you for the picture of my grandmother, Esther Bilyea (Audrey Wirtzfeld, des. of Wesley Bilyea, sent it to MK in Jan 2006). My brother has the same picture, he checked to see if there was a date on it, like a lot of the older pictures they weren't dated. We both agreed the picture was taken in the early 30's. The picture is just as I remembered my grandmother, brought back memories of stopping in to see her when I was a senior in high school, she lived just a couple blocks from school. My parents moved to Barryton in 1936 when I was a senior so I didn't have much time to spend with her. I have a picture of grandma and her four sisters--not dated, but they all look like the picture was taken in their younger years." Arlene Frielink | |
