His obituary in the Kalamazoo Gazette noted he was a former excutive of the Telegraph. In Portland he was an insurance broker for the L.L. Nason Company. 
Occupation*Mr. Nason left Kalamazoo for Portland around 1909. The Oregon Daily Journal praised him as "tops in his profession" in the insurance business, and noted he was "modest, mild mannered, kind hearted and high principled and all who knew him were wont to say that no one in Portland did business on a higher plane."
