Anecdote* | "John Richard Murphy, 73, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006, in Warren. He was born Aug. 28, 1932, in Detroit. Mr. Murphy worked for T.I. Automotive for 47 years. He was a decorated Korean War veteran and served as president of UAW Local 369. He was a union representative at T.I. Automotive, a committee man and a VFW member. He enjoyed bowling and taking care of his lawn on his tractors. He is survived by his children, Joseph (Stacey) Murphy, John Richard Murphy and Daniel Murphy; sister, Shirley Jenuwine; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Ann Murphy. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kaul Funeral Home, 27830 Gratiot Ave., Roseville, with the Rev. Randell Merren officiating.
