Anecdote | To my beloved wife Mary Josephine all message and tenements situated in Twp of Harrison being a part of Private Claim No. 144 originally containing by patent 639 acres to hold, subject to legacies hereafter set forth) for her natural life with remainder over unto my sons Jacob and William. Second I devise unto my sons Jacob Tucker and William, the whole of my estate in the above mentioned homestead farm, subject to above limitations to be divided between by said sons in the manner following to wit: Beg at a line commencing at the point where the land now owned by my son William abuts upon and joins the burying ground in the said farm and from thence running due east dividing the said homestead into equal portions, the west side to belong to my son Jacob and the east side to my son William. I devise unto my daughter Angelica Tucker, wife of my son Henry the whole of my estate in the following described piece of land to wit: being a part of lot number 144 of PC in T2 3N R14E bounded N by Edward J Tucker, E by Edward Tucker, S by Jacob Tucker and W by lands whose owner is unknown. I devise to my son John Tucker all of my estate right and title in the estate of the late Jacob Tucker decd died possessed and which devised to me by will, being an equal one third part of the same reserving and excepting form the operation of this devise the crops for the present year. I give and devise unto my daughters Monique Tucker and Polly Tucker all my estate in the following described piece of land to wit: the west half of the NWq S27 T2N R13E in the district of lands subject to sale at Detroit containing 80 acres to be equally divided between them each receiving 40 acres. It is my express will that my son John in consideration of the above lands shall pay to my sons Edward, Henry, and David the sum of one hundred dollars in the manner following. Fifty dollars to be paid two years from the first day of July 1848 and the remaining fifty dollars three years from the said date. I devise that my son William shall have use, without charge of an equal share of the barn, stable and all other outhouses on my homestead. It is my will that my daughters Monique and Mary shall have the privilege of keeping each two cows upon the said homestead farm as long as my said daughters remain in the family hereupon. I will to my dau Mary out of my person property a good bed and furniture.
