AnecdoteDelphine spent many years volunteering with the Junior League of Detroit. She was a member of the Lochmoor Club, led the Women's District Golf Association later serving as president. She was also active in the Midwest Badminton Association. She enjoyed the outdoors. In 1974 she moved to West End Farm in Metamora MI where she raised and showed Thoroughbred horses. She was an accomplished rider and rode well into her sixties. 
Note*Robert J. Petz; Son, Geoffrey Lee Petz of Metamora, died 16 August 2009 at age 52. He was born 17 July 1957 in Detroit.

He graduated from the Friends School in Detroit in 1975. He was a finish carpenter, loved hunting and fly fishing.

He was survived by his children: Geoffrey J. (Alisha) Petz of Davison, Daniel L. Petz of Sterling Heights, Thomas D. Petz of Sterling Heights, David E. Petz of Metamora, Autumn L. Petz of Metamora and Alexander A. Petz of Metamora; siblings: Robert (Mary Ann) of Grosse Pointe, Virginia (James) Soddy of Lapeer, Stephen (Kathleen) of Holly, Susan Nicholas of Metamora, James (Ruth) of Gaylord, Barbara (Bruce) Willinsky of Metamora, Thomas (Kathleen) of Grosse Pointe, Martha (David) McCauley of Wolverine; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandmother, Lois Knowlson.

Memorial donations were suggested to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. A memorial service was held 22 August 2009 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer.
