Anecdote*After marriage Henry and Theresa settled on her father's estate. At this time the river nearby was referred to as Tremblay's Creek. When Henry became supervisor of Grosse Pointe Twp in 1818, the name was changed to Conner's Creek. In November 1893, the area was renamed Greiner, then reverted back to Conner's Creek in September 1899. It's Post Office was closed 30 March 1909 and Conner's Creek became officially part of Detroit.
