Milit-End*Alfred served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a gunner aboard a B-24 Liberator before being captured. He was a P.O.W. for one year and 11 days at Stalag 17B. After liberation he returned to Warren MI.

When not working, he he enjoyed going to Detroit Tigers baseball games, golfing, bowlind, playing cards and pinochle, traveling overseas, spending time with friends in Winter Haven FL, listening to music or mowing his lawn. He enjoyed family gatherings and said family came first in his life.
