Employment*Shirley began working at Sears in 1949 where she met her future husband, Samuel. They lived in Walnut Creek, CA after marrying, then returned to the Harbor in 1955 where they owned and operated the S&S Gas Station in Cosmopolis in the 1960's. She was later a cook at the Harbor Health Care in South Aberdeen and Grays Harbor Health and Rehabilitation Center, retiring in 1981. 
Association*the Grays Harbor Loyal Order of the Moose for 37 years holding the title of College of Regence. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors in Aberdeen. 
Anecdote*Shirley loved sports and played baseball, basketball and football in high school. The bowled mixed couples every Sunday and was a member of the S&S Bowling Team.

Sharon had a love for sports and enjoyed watching baseball, basketball and football games.
She was survived by her husband, Ernest; sons: Larry, Scott, Brad and Ron; grandchildren: Brandon, Trevor, Corey, Skyler, Ashley, Brianne, Katelyn and Jordyn; gr- grandchildren: Joseph, Maycee, Kenzi and Kaileah; her brother, Junior; sister Nancy and numerous other relatives. She was predeceased by her son, Scott.
