Fuller, 89, of Avery Heights, died at his home Friday (February 6, 2004). He was born in Fostoria, Seneca, OH and had resided at Avery Heights for 22 years. Mr. Fuller was a retired restaurant manager. He is survived by two nephews, The Rev. R. Bricker Gibson of Harpswell, ME and David A. Gibson of Phoenix, AZ. A memorial service will be conducted at the Avery Heights Memorial Chapel, Saturday, March 13 at 2 p.m. He was predeceased by his sister, Elsie E. Gibson on Nov. 9, 2003. Anecdote | Vern was an active member of first United Methodist Church and usher for 35 years. An avid collector of rocks, stamps and sporting events memorabilia, he made friends of collectors all over the U.S. He and Sallie travled to most states and to Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Austria during their 51 years of marriage. | |
