They were all from a small area of Westphalia known as the Sauerland. My wife and I visited her Kaiser cousins still living in the village of Obersalwey that is only about one mile from Niedersalwey. To this day the residents of Niedersalwey and Obersalwey worship at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Eslohe. Niedersalwey is about 1 mile west of Eslohe and Dorlar about 5 miles southwest of Eslohe. | |
