Anecdote* | Friends called Glenora a dynamic and independent person who was involved in a lot of things in the community including working on the Augusta bicentennial in 1976 and sesquincentennial celebrations. Her son, David, mentioned that visitors to his mother's home always left with a craft she had made or a cookie she baked. She volunteered her time at the Augusta Art Guild, serving at one time as president and art show chairwoman for many years. She also belonged to the Mutual Improvement (garden) Club in Augusta and served as a village trustee.
Anecdote | In later years Glenora lost her eyesight, had difficulty hearing and trouble breathing due to asthma, but she told people cheerfully that she was doing fine and went everywhere on foot as it was "good exercise and I don't want people to have to take me places."
