Son of Frank and Mary Ann (Lange) Knoche
He was killed in action during WWII in Luzon, Philippines
on 18 February 1945.
His commanding officer (of Company H, 127th Infantry)
wrote in a letter to Louis' parents:
"Louis had been a member of this company for nearly two years.
During this time he became the close friend of many.
We shall not soon forget his cheerful smile and pleasant greetings."
