Redmond, 59, widely-known Kalamazoo businesswoman, and critical injuries to her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. Emmet Redmond, also of Kalamazoo, as the three were en route on a Florida vacation.

The Redmond car, operated by Emmet, skidded on icy pavement and collided with a truck on Indiana state trunkline 3 about two miles north of Hartford City. Head injuries were the direct cause of Miss Redmond's death.

Emmet Redmond, 50, received head and back injuries and body lacerations while his wife, Margaret, 48, suffered a fracture of the leg and cuts over both eyes. Mr. and Mrs. Redmond were taken to a hospital at Hartford City, and hospital authorities Saturday night reported they would remain there at least two weeks.

Mr. and Mrs. Redmond, who reside at 814 Woodbury avenue, and the former's sister, Marie, who made her home with another brother, Clarence Redmond, 1510 North Edwards street, left Kalamazoo at 8 Saturday morning bound for Melbourne, Fla., where they had planned to stay for two weeks.
