Mikita was with her boyfriend, Tyler Maten, heading back home when, on icy roads, they collided with another vehicle in the 2700 block of M-40 at 10:30 p.m.. Mikita was killed. Tyler was taken to Holland Hospital where he died at 7:10 p.m. the next day.
